The cadet masters competition took place over the weekend at Cippenham. 14 girls were invited and they had to face each other, seven games on Saturday and six games on Sunday. Maria won all her 13 games beating the number one sees Tin Tin Ho at the last game 3-2. For the semifinal she also beat Lois Peake with the same score.

Sainsbury's school games 2012 Day One

First day at the Excel Exhibition Centre and Maria is part of the England South West team with Vicky Smith, Chrissie Slot and Megan Knowles.
The team was in group S and they faced England North West, Wales and Scotland.
At the end they finished second following 7-0 wins against England North West and Scotland and a narrow loss by 4-3 to Wales.

Maria, in recognition of her tremendous achievements in the last year, was awarded by her school, the Abbey, Sportsperson of the Year.

Cadet masters preview

The Cadet Masters comes to Cippenham on the 12th of May for two days.

The National Cadet Masters features the same format as the Junior Masters.

Once again the players will embark on this challenge as the top 14 cadet boys and girls go head-to-head at the Cippenham Table Tennis Centre.
